i/ love rock n roll... is one of the most anthemic lyrics of all time, from the song "I Love Rock 'n Roll". The song was written in 1975 by Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker of The Arrows, who recorded the very first released version (Thanks for these amazing lyrics guys).

The song was then later covered by Joan Jett who had international chart success with her version of the song. It's on the list of top 100 songs of the twentieth century, according to The National Endowment for the Arts. In March 2005, Q magazine placed Jett's version of the song at number 85 in its list of "The 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks". Jett's version is also ranked #484 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" as well as #56 in Billboard's Greatest Songs of all time. And...we couldn't find any official "Most Often Played on the Jukebox" or "Top Drunken' Karaoke Songs" lists, but if there were -- we are SURE this one would be on it.
